Thank you for considering the Chase House for your New Hampshire wedding celebration. A country wedding should be a joyous and memorable event for your family and friends. The Chase House is one of New Hampshire's National Historic Landmarks. Our grounds can host your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, or rehearsal dinner. It is our intent to eliminate much of the stress and tension often associated with planning a wedding. Planning and coordination are key ingredients to create that special wedding day.
We will assist you with both the planning and coordination of your wedding. We offer a very broad selection of hors d'oeuvers and 12 different entrees to choose from. Our Caterer can prepare a fabulous elopement dinner for two, a buffet, or served menu for up to 125 guests. We work with a select group of other service providers which include a florist, photographers and musicians. We also can help with your wedding favors and gifts.
Our facility provides both guest lodging and reception areas. We have nine guest rooms, for your family and close friends, which may be used in full or in part. You may choose a two or three day celebration. Planning a weekend wedding using all nine of our guest rooms gives you exclusive use of the Chase House, making our home your home. We welcome all wedding couples whether you are eloping and it's just the bride and groom, or a small intimate wedding in The Chase House Dinning room. For larger groups we recommend our 1810 post and beam reception room which accommodates up to 80 guests for a served or buffet reception, with room for dancing. Our loft area is ideal for band or DJ set up for indoor receptions. For receptions with more than 80 guests we recommend an outdoor reception with spectacular views of Mount Ascutney. Our Grounds are appropriate for up to 125 guests with the use of a tent.
We offer our grounds Spring, Summer or Fall for your wedding ceremony. Weddings can be held by our perennial borders, or near the pond with scenic views of Mount Ascutney. There is also nondenominational church ¾ of a mile north of us on Route 12A, if you prefer a church wedding. A horse-drawn carriage is available if desired. We recommend a mid-afternoon ceremony, so the cocktail hour may be held on our weathered stone patio. The cocktail hour should begin at 3:00PM and end at 4:00 PM. Light music throughout the cocktail hour is suggested. The reception should begin shortly after the cocktail hour and run approximately four to five hours.
Design your wedding ceremony in our 1810 post and beam reception room. Exchange your wedding vows in front of our Fieldstone fireplace with raised-hearth, an ideal location late fall thru early spring. The minstrel loft area serves as the ideal location for a string quartet.
Each wedding has its own special needs and arrangements. These needs should be discussed and finalized at The Chase House. We want your New England Wedding Celebration to be the special time you have always dreamed of any season of the Year.
